These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Castan Digital Limited (“Castan Digital”, “we”, “us”, “our”), which owns and operates Weave Calendar (“Weave”). They govern your access to and use of the Weave application and the website at weavecalendar.com (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Weave account. By using the Service you confirm you can form a binding contract with us. Parents and guardians may add children as profiles within their household; the adult who creates the household is responsible for those profiles and for the household’s use of the Service.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login secure. You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account and within the households you create or join, and for the people you invite into a household. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. The Service & changes to it
We work to keep Weave reliable, but we may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features from time to time, and the Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We’ll try to give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.
4. Weave Pro subscriptions & payment
Weave is free to start. Weave Pro is an optional, auto-renewing subscription that unlocks additional features.
- Billing. Pro is purchased and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play using your store account. Those stores process your payment under their own terms; we don’t receive your full payment-card details.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, as required by the app store.
- Managing & cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Pro until then.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under the applicable store’s policy. Any statutory cancellation or refund rights you have as a consumer are not affected.
- Price changes. We may change subscription prices; changes apply to future billing periods and we’ll provide notice as required by law and the app stores.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you add to Weave — events, threads, lists, photos, documents, notes and similar (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, sync, back up and display Your Content to the members of your household, solely so the Service can function for you. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights to share it. We may remove content that violates these Terms or the law.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful, deceptive, harassing, or abusive.
- Upload content that infringes others’ rights or that you don’t have permission to share.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems.
- Circumvent security, usage limits, or access controls (including paywalls).
- Impersonate others or invite people to a household to gain access to data you’re not entitled to.
- Only invite people to your household whom you trust with your shared content.
7. Our intellectual property
The Service, including the Weave app, website, name, logo, and design, is owned by Castan Digital Limited and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own household in line with these Terms. You may not copy, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from the Service except as the law allows.
8. Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions about the Service, you grant us a free, worldwide licence to use them to improve Weave, without obligation to you.
9. App stores (Apple & Google)
You download Weave through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and their terms also apply. For apps obtained from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that:
- These Terms are between you and us (Castan Digital Limited) only — not Apple — and we (not Apple) are solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding the app.
- We (Castan Digital Limited), not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product-liability, legal/regulatory, and intellectual-property claims.
- You will comply with applicable third-party and export-control laws in using the app.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
Equivalent acknowledgements apply to Google Play and any other store through which you obtain the app.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content (including reminders and synced data) will always be available or accurate. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you as a consumer.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Weave will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) £100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.
12. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Weave harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of someone else’s rights.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm others or us. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — such as content licences you’ve granted, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will continue to apply.
14. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where Weave operates, without affecting the mandatory consumer-protection rights of the country where you live. We’d always prefer to resolve concerns informally first, so please contact us before taking any formal action.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and provide reasonable notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
16. General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Weave about the Service. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Our not enforcing a provision isn’t a waiver of it. Except as stated for the app stores in section 9, there are no third-party beneficiaries to these Terms.
